North East Law Firm, Jacksons, is delighted to announce the launch of its Residential Conveyancing department in Newcastle. Solicitor, Jane Fiddes, joins the firm as Head of Residential Conveyancing in Newcastle to deal with growing demand from clients based in the Tyne and Wear area.
Jane, from Cramlington, studied law at Northumbria University and spent eight months working for the Law Reform Commission based in Perth, Australia before taking up a training contract with a law firm based in Newcastle. Jane qualified as a solicitor 13 years ago and specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including help to buy, shared ownership, right to buy, transfers of equity, re-mortgages and dealing with complicated leasehold properties.
Secretary, Susan Binney also joins the firm and will assist Jane with the day to day running of the department. She has worked in the legal sector for 17 years, 14 of those in residential conveyancing.
Jacksons has a well-established residential conveyancing team based in its Stockton office and is led by Partner, Terry Saffin.
Terry said, “I am thrilled to welcome Jane and Susan to Jacksons and look forward to working with both of them. As well as having the experience to head up, and grow, the department in Newcastle, Jane has the type of personality needed to put clients at ease during, what can be, one of the most stressful times of their lives. She has a great relationship with other professionals in the sector and will, no doubt, make the move to Jacksons a success”.
Jane said, “I’m very excited to have been given the opportunity to head up the new Residential Conveyancing team at Jacksons. Terry has very successfully developed a strong client base in the south of the region and I am working on a strategy to do the same in Newcastle and the surrounding areas”.
