Solicitor/Conveyancing Executive – Residential Property Team (Newcastle based – full or part time hours)

About the Team and the Role

Our high achieving Residential Property team is our largest department, and it is continuing to grow!

You will be joining a dedicated team of nearly 30 staff, who work across both our Stockton-on-Tees and Newcastle offices.

Based at our recently renovated open plan office in central Newcastle, you will work in a welcoming team of experienced fee earners, secretaries and administration support staff. Your duties will be varied and rewarding and will include:

  • Managing a mixed case load of sale, purchase and Buy to Let residential properties, leasehold matters, help and right to buy schemes, new build property purchase and sales, mortgages/re-mortgages, shared ownership and affordable housing, and transfer of equity.
  • Providing effective communication and excellent customer care to our clients at each stage of their journey.
  • Delegating and overseeing the work of support staff.
  • Taking an active role in business development, to support building professional relationships and growing our client base.

This is a newly created role to support new work streams, so this is a great opportunity to make a real impact!

About You

With a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, you must be able to effectively manage a mixed and busy conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion. With sound knowledge of the legal aspects of residential transactions, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills.  In addition, you will be a real team player and be able to work effectively to deadlines.

You should also be flexible to travel occasionally to our office in Stockton-on-Tees, in line with the needs of the business.
