Tony has a long association with Jacksons, having originally joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1986 prior to qualifying in 1988. He became a partner in the firm in 1994 and served as the firm’s managing partner from 2021 to 2024. Tony currently heads up the firm’s corporate and commercial department.
Tony has substantial expertise and experience in business law. He deals with business acquisitions, disposals and mergers, business funding (for both lenders and borrowers), company and partnership matters and commercial contracting, advising clients in the North East of England and beyond on all aspects of corporate and commercial law. He his known for his approachable and pragmatic, problem solving approach.
Tony is a trustee of Endeavour Education Trust, a multi-academy schools trust based in Middlesbrough.
Away from the office, Tony is a Middlesbrough season ticket holder and also enjoys cycling and, despite his demonstrable lack of ability, playing golf.
