Stacey completed her law degree at Northumbria University and graduated in July 2010 with a first class LLB Honours degree. She joined Jacksons as a trainee solicitor in September 2010 and qualified in September 2012, specialising in Employment law, having spent a year of her training with the Employment law team.
Stacey advises clients on a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious areas of Employment law and also advices clients on business immigration matters.
The non-contentious side of Stacey’s work includes advising on, and preparing employment contracts and staff handbooks as well as advising on a wide range of day-to-day HR queries and major processes such as redundancies.
The contentious side of Stacey’s work involves advising and representing both employers and employees in respect of claims brought in the Employment Tribunals across the UK. She also provides advice in respect of settlement agreements.
Stacey presents on a wide range of Employment law topics at our seminars and workshops. She also enjoys delivering tailored management training programmes to businesses across a broad spectrum of sectors on a variety of topics, including managing alcohol and drug misuse in the workplace and performance management processes.
Stacey achieved a qualification in Immigration Law and is able to advise and assist clients in business immigration matters, including in relation to all aspects of the UK points-based system and right to work checks. She is able to provide management training to employers on compliance with the immigration rules.
In addition, she also advises clients who have tenants or lodgers on complying with their legal obligation to carry out ‘right to rent’ checks.
In her spare time Stacey enjoys travelling across the UK and Europe to dog shows with her husband showing West Highland White Terriers.
