Sophie graduated from Trevelyan College, Durham University in 2013 with a degree in law (2:1 LLB Hons). She completed the Legal Practice Course in 2014 with Distinction, being awarded The David Auld Prize for Mental Health Law. Sophie also volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Middlesbrough in the role of Gateway Assessor during her Legal Practice Course (LPC) year.
After graduating from the LPC, Sophie commenced employment as a Paralegal at a firm in Newcastle. Sophie was based in the Complex Litigation Department for a period of ten months, dealing with the recovery of unsecured lending on behalf of a bank.
Sophie joined the team at Jacksons Law Firm in April 2015 as a Paralegal in the Litigation Department before commencing her training contract in September 2015. She completed seats in Commercial Litigation, Residential Conveyancing, Corporate & Commercial and Commercial Property respectively. Sophie is now qualified and works in our Commercial Property department.
Outside of work Sophie enjoys baking/ cake decorating, eating out and travelling.
