Richard graduated from Newcastle University before completing his LPC at Northumbria University qualifying as a solicitor in 2010 whilst working for a Newcastle firm.
Richard spent two years with a Tees Valley firm prior to joining Jacksons in August 2019 to head up the firms property litigation work. He became a Partner in April 2020.
He is experienced in all areas of commercial litigation, including insurance litigation, and lead on a number of industry high profile cases in the Court of Appeal. More recently he has been focusing on a wide range of property litigation matters.
Richard regularly acts for agricultural clients, advising on a wide range of contentious matters, as well as providing support to clients in non-litigious matters alongside his colleagues from the Firm’s transactional teams, if and when required
