Philippa joined Jacksons’ Commercial Property team in November 2023. She studied law at Newcastle University and completed her LPC at the College of Law, York. She then joined Jacksons as a trainee, where she qualified in 2016 and joined the Commercial Property team. A move up north took her elsewhere and she joined a national law firm based in their Newcastle office.
Following a move back “home” to Teesside, Philippa has returned to Jacksons as an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property team working term time only; a role which Philippa hopes will open the door to more flexible and inclusive working across the legal market.
Outside of work, Philippa is kept busy with her children and enjoys spending time outside with trips to the beach, walks up Roseberry Topping and the Cleveland Hills, swimming & bike rides – whatever the weather! She also likes to run (though claims she is not a natural runner) and takes part in the Great North Run every year. 2024 will be her 10th time and she wants it to be her best run yet.
Philippa also loves musical theatre and is looking forward to removing her “mum” hat and taking up amateur dramatics again – coming to a stage soon near you!
A less well-known fact about Philippa is that she also has a PGCE in post compulsory education and has taught Law modules at Sunderland College as a visiting lecturer.
