Les gained a first class honours degree in Law and qualified as a Solicitor in 1991. He has over 25 years’ legal experience advising both education providers and parents/guardians on aspects of school admission appeals.
Understanding the admissions process is essential, because the grounds on which an appeal can be upheld are limited. Les can undertake advocacy for both parties but is also able to help you focus on the right preparation for an appeal, keeping emotion to one side. He understands dealing with the exclusion for a child can be stressful, time consuming and can leave teachers, governors and parents open to scrutiny.
Les is also able to advise parents engaging in obtaining a Special Education Needs and Disabilities Statement for their child.
Les is a part-time Judge and an Associate Lecturer in Law.
