Kirsty studied law at the University of Lincoln and completed her Legal Practice Certificate at the College of Law in Guildford before returning home to the North East. She qualified as a solicitor nine years ago after completing her training with a Newcastle City Centre Law Firm.
Kirsty joined Jacksons in August 2019 to head up the Private Client Department in the firms Newcastle office.
Kirsty specialises in all areas of private client work but has a particular interest in vulnerable and elderly client work, including Court of Protection work. She is currently completing the STEP Diploma in Advising Vulnerable Clients, and she is a STEP Associate. Kirsty achieved distinctions in the Certificate of Trusts and Estates, the Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates and the Advanced Certificate of the Administration of Trusts. She has completed Part One of the Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients and will be completing Part Two in October 2019.
Kirsty is a farmer’s daughter (and granddaughter) originally from Otterburn. She married a farmer’s son and now live in Alnwick, Northumberland with her husband, and two young daughters. In her spare time Kirsty enjoys spending time at the family farms, or in a quiet corner with a good book.
