Jane is a graduate of Bristol University. After qualifying she spent six years with Osborne Clarke’s commercial property team. Following a move to the North East and a career break she ran her own practice for two years before moving with her family to the USA. Returning to the UK in 2004, Jane joined Jacksons Law Firm and was made a partner in 2007 and managing partner in 2015.
Jane is a partner in Jacksons’ commercial property team and has specialised in property matters for over 25 years.
Experienced in all aspects of commercial property, education and agriculture, she enjoys a varied workload, dealing with property aspects of large commercial acquisitions and disposals and small business transfers as well as landlord and tenant work. She’s acted for many educational establishments dealing with land transfers, lettings, boundaries, services and residential occupancy issues. And has experience of acting for farmers and rural landowners in the purchase and sale of agricultural land and in options and leases of such land for wind turbines, property development and sale of farms.
Outside of work, Jane likes to travel, belongs to a reading group, enjoys walking and cycling in the North Yorkshire Countryside. She has just finished a term of service as governor of a local primary school where she was chair of the financial committee for over 10 years.
