Erica is Head of Legal at the firm and a Partner in the commercial property team.
In 2004, whilst studying for her degree at Teesside University, Erica joined Jacksons on a part time basis. She qualified as a solicitor in the commercial property team in January 2010 and was promoted to Partner in April 2016. In November 2024, Erica became Head of Legal.
Erica has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating option agreements and exclusivity agreements on behalf of landowners for sites to be used for renewable energy projects.
Erica acts for a regional electricity distribution company in connection with the leasing of substation sites and associated electrical easements. She has a wealth of expertise in dealing with substations linked to the renewable energy sector.
Acting for both landowners and developers Erica provides them with advice on option agreements, promotion agreements and conditional contracts.
Erica frequently assists both landlords and tenants in connection with leases, licences and agreements for lease. She also has vast experience in dealing with refinancing of significant property investment portfolios.
