The commercial property team at Jacksons Law Firm is delighted to have been shortlisted by the judges at the Insider North East Property Awards 2022, in the Property Law Firm of the Year category.

Erica Turner and her team were recognised for the significant role they played when advising clients including Scott Bros, Teesside International Airport and Northern School of Art in respect of major projects in the region.

The team is no stranger to being shortlisted for awards having won Property Law Firm of the Year award in 2021 and in 2018 and was shortlisted in 2017 and 2019 for the same award.  Jacksons is the only Tees Valley practice to have been a finalist, two years running, in the Northern Law Awards, Team of the Year Property (Commercial) and to have won this award in 2017 and 2019.

During lockdown the team continued its business development activity by embracing the firm’s  digital marketing strategy and organised regular podcasts, developed a social media and blog rota to provide clients and contacts with updates on wide range of commercial property topics, on line seminars and a panel event and created its own Tik Tok video mapping out the process of opening a new client file.

The recent appointment of Rebecca Dawson, Associate Solicitor has further added strength to the team’s client offering with her extensive experience of dealing with all types of commercial property transactions including development and regeneration, planning and construction.

Erica Turner, Partner and Head of Commercial Property said, “I am really proud of the whole team from our apprentices to our lawyers and what they have achieved during the last year.  Being shortlisted for this award is in recognition of their hard work, their expertise and determination.

Erica added, “Congratulations to all of the shortlisted firms. It’s very inspiring to see so many firms in the North East being recognised for playing a significant role in the redevelopment and regeneration in the region. It is testament to the quality of lawyers, projects and clients we have in the North East.”
