The team at Jacksons is delighted to be have been given the opportunity to support the Inaugural Tees Tech Awards by sponsoring the small business category.
The Tees Tech awards have been organised by Dave Allen, Martin Walker and the team at Tees Business in association with DigitalCity and Middlesbrough Digital. It has been set up to celebrate businesses and entrepreneurs leading the way in technology and innovation in the Tees Valley.
Originally due to take place at Wynyard Hall in April this year, the awards event will be streamed live on You Tube on 20th August due to the current pandemic. The team at Tees Business have organised for pizza and drinks to be delivered to the homes or offices of those businesses who are involved in either sponsorship or who have been shortlisted.
More than 90 nominations were received for the 11 categories and the shortlist of 33 companies was announced in June.
Tony Wentworth and David Artley from Jacksons’ Corporate and Commercial team were lucky to be involved in the shortlisting process and saw for themselves the fantastic contribution these businesses make to society through the use of technology.
Tony Wentworth said, “The quality of the submissions received was impressive however, it made it really difficult to choose a shortlist. The range of new technologies available from business owners based in our region, is something that should be celebrated. It has been interesting to watch the tech sector in the Tees Valley grow over the last few years and no doubt the new tech hub planned for Middlesbrough will help retain the talent that we have in our part of the region and will also be a big draw for other businesses around the UK who want to base themselves here.”
