Award winning North East Law Firm, Jacksons continues to grow with the appointment of two new legal experts to strengthen its position in the marketplace and to meet client demand.
Associate Lawyer, Leigh Ferguson joins Jacksons’ Dispute Resolution, Corporate Recovery and Insolvency team working alongside Partner Stephen Wiles and Toby Joel. Leigh graduated from Teesside University in 1997 and returns to Teesside after spending 14 years with a Newcastle law firm and two years with another firm in the Tees Valley. Her experience includes a wide range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters and complex commercial dispute matters including both claimant and defendant work involving breach of contract claims, fraud, negligence and intellectual property.
Jacksons welcomes Nazia Aftab, as a consultant in its employment department. Nazia has 17 years’ experience of advising clients in the charity, professional services, digital and retail sectors on all areas of employment law including restructuring, terms and conditions, executive terminations, disciplinary and grievance issues and redundancies. She is working with Partner and head of employment Paul Clark and his team in Teesside and Newcastle. Nazia was born and bred in Teesside and attended both Teesside and Northumbria University and spent 17 years with another Teesside law firm.
