Jacksons holds the issue of children’s mental health close to the heart and often the matrimonial department come across cases where children of the family suffer from mental health.
It is extremely important that people are made aware of the high percentage of children who suffer from mental health. For many, the roots of depression began in a childhood where they were never allowed to be themselves. Place2Be, the leading national children’s mental health charity shows that 8 in 10 children experience low self-esteem. They thrive on allowing children to be who they want to be.
The Duchess of Cambridge who is a patron of Place2Be addressed the nation on the first day of Children’s Mental Health Week. She emphasised that mental health issues should be spotted at an early age to give them as much support as possible. She stated “Childhood is an incredibly important moment in our lives. It is the time when we explore our personalities, discover the potential that lies within us and learn how to be ourselves.
Jacksons are proud to be a sponsor of The Link who assist with children who need help including those with mental health problems.
